Pricing
The subscription funds the platform. Models stay at your real cost — no markup, no surprises.
One simple principle: no markup from us on your tokens. Models are billed to you at the price we pay for them, or you plug in your own key and your provider bills you directly. The subscription funds the platform — execution on Cloudflare's global network, versions, traces, support — not compute resale.

Prices exclude tax. Applicable VAT is added at payment based on your country. No minimum term: a monthly subscription stops whenever you decide.
Language models, billed separately#
The subscription includes no tokens. Two ways to pay for them, which can be combined:
Your own key (BYOK). Plug in your Vercel AI Gateway or OpenRouter key with forge llm set. Your provider bills you directly, we take nothing along the way, and Forge credit is not consumed.
Our key, at our purchase price. Top up prepaid credit with forge credit add (minimum $10, never expires); each execution deducts the cost actually incurred with our gateway — visible run by run in the traces. We add no markup of our own.
That purchase price includes our intermediaries' fees — the multi-provider gateway (around 5% compared with a direct contract with the model's provider) and payment fees on top-ups. We pass them through as is, without inflating them, and we contract directly with the main providers as soon as volume justifies it, to bring that cost down. BYOK mode removes the gateway entirely: you pay the rate of your own contract.
Third-party APIs#
Web search and application integrations are included up to your tier's allowance. Beyond it, they are billed at the price we pay for them, deducted from your prepaid credit — no markup from us, same as models. Other paid APIs we provide (Tavily, Perplexity…) follow the same rule, with no included allowance.
Worth knowing if you use BYOK: prepaid credit also covers these third-party APIs. Using a paid API beyond your allowance therefore requires credit, even when your tokens go through your own key.
Frequently asked#
What happens when I hit the invocation cap?#
New invocations are refused with an explicit message, until the next month or until you change tier. No surprise bill: we don't charge for overage, we refuse it.
What if my payment fails?#
Your service stays active throughout the retry period. We don't cut off a production workload over a failed card. Only an actual cancellation returns the account to the free tier.
Does prepaid credit expire?#
Never. It is refundable for 14 days if untouched — see the refund policy.
Can I change tier?#
Yes, at any time, from the admin interface (forge ui) or with forge plan solo|enterprise.
Who issues the invoice?#
Our payment provider acts as merchant of record: it calculates and remits applicable VAT in more than 80 countries and issues your invoice. That is also why its name may appear on your bank statement.
